About the Book
In this book readers will come across the primary features of computer concerning its operation and applications in the field of Pharmaceutical education, research and industry. This book is divided into eleven chapters. The first chapter provides basics of computers including its characteristics, history, basic organization, input-output and storage devices along with classification of computers. Second chapter emphasises on operating systems like Windows and DOS. Microsoft office suit is explained in chapter number three to six covering MS-Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access respectively while software packages – adobe reader and chemdraw are discussed in seventh chapter. Eighth chapter explains networking and internet while ninth chapter covers algorithms and programming techniques. Tenth chapter explains the basics of C language and describes variables, expressions and operators used in the language while the last chapter focuses on applications of computer in pharmacy profession. This book would serve as an extremely useful text for B.Pharma. students and covers syllabus of all Indian universities.
About the Author
Atul Rupchand Bendale, M. Pharm. and pursuing Ph.D., started his career as a formulation and development officer in renowned Indian pharma industry then decided to take higher education in pharmacy field and completed his M.Pharmacy with specialization in pharmaceutical chemistry from RTM University of Nagpur in year 2008. Presently he is working as an Assistant Professor in Smt. B.N.B Swaminarayan Pharmacy College, Gujarat. He is having a published book with eminent German publisher together with several national and international publications to his credit.
