About the Book

Modern era is referred to as Information Age, due to the ubiquity and expansiveness of the ongoing Information Revolution, which describes economic, social and technological trends beyond the Industrial Revolution. With the introduction of the World Wide Web in 1990s that saw a massive surge in the reach of computers and led to beginning of merger of Computing with Communication and Networking. The synergistic benefits of the coming together of Computing, Communication and Networking have radically moulded human civilization in modern times. This edition is redesigned emerging ideas information technology– Computing, Communication and Networking– into four sections. About the Authors

Jeetendra Pande is an M. Tech. and B. E. in Computer Science and an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Amrapali Institute of Technology and Sciences, Haldwani. He is a member of select professional bodies, i.e. ACM, CSI and IACSIT. In his endeavour to excel as an academician, he is widely published and over two dozen papers authored and co-authored by him have been published in various national and international journals of repute.

Nihar Ranjan Pande is a Post-Graduate in Economics and Management. He has to his credit over a dozen years experience in academics and the corporate world – across industries and functions. Working as an Associate Professor at Amrapali Institute of Technology & Sciences, Haldwani, his academic drive has led to him possessing a varied publishing background.

D. C. Joshi is Professor and Dean at Amrapali Institute of Technology and Sciences, Haldwani. Holding an M. Sc. and D. Phil. in Physics, formerly he was Professor and Head of the Physics department of HNB Garhwal University. Apart from a long teaching experience in higher education he has to his credit the publication of about sixty research papers in journals of national and international repute and two books, on Quantum Field Theory and Particle Physics respectively. During his illustrious career, he has supervised ten D. Phil. students He has also organised and participated in many national & international conferences and successfully conducted research projects assigned by Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India and University Grants Commission.
