Biotechnology, at present, is in an amazing growth phase whose end is nowhere in sight. It has influenced the thinking of the society. This edition is an attempt to emphasize the ethical aspects of biotechnology. It is not an easy task because different people with different interest can broaden or narrow this concept. Biotechnology has been a catalyst to the consideration of bioethical issues and the two words biotechnology and bioethics have coevolved.

About the Author

Maina Keru has done his post-graduation in Biochemistry from the University of Calcutta and Associateship in Information Science from INSDOC, Delhi. As a scientist, he has completed many industrial projects successfully under the supervision of Indian professionals. Presently, he is working in a respectable position in National Archives of Kenya.
