Job satisfaction is one of the most crucial and controversial issues of behavioural management in any organization which plays vital role in imparting quality education. It is dependent on gender, attitude, salary, security, management, experience, qualification, social status, and promotion etc. Significant number of women teachers in secondary education is considered to be the result of gender development in education field and their importance has been recognized in the development of secondary education but their level of satisfaction is not given attention. The present edition is an attempt to examine, compare and measure the degree of job satisfaction of women teachers. This edition may help to draw the attention of management in improving the condition of women teachers. Last but not the least this edition has tended more focuses on women issues in a new arena.

About the Authors

Dr. K. Dakshinamurthy has been identified as an eminent teacher, researcher and research guide in higher education. He has been serving as an Associate Professor of Education,  Department of P.G. Studies in Education, Karnatak University Dharwad for the last 15 years. He has specialized in educational psychology, educational research and educational planning & finance and has successfully guided Ph.D. M.Phil & M.Ed students. He has visited countries like Malaysia and Spain for the presentation of research papers. He has attended and presented papers in various state level, National level & International level conferences and also participated as resource person in workshops, symposium, conferences & gained recognition in the field of Educational Research. He has served as a Chairman of BOE and the member of BOS in the Department. He has worked as an Examiner, paper setter and BOE External Member of various other universities. His immense knowledge in the area of educational research led him to prepare this comprehensive research book for the benefit of teachers who are working at all levels of educational system in teaching and learning.

Dr. Manisha V. Kulkarni is working as lecturer in Shri Vetal Institute of Education and Training, Colvale, Goa. As a Research Scholar, She did her M.Ed, M.Phil, Ph.D (progress) in Education from Karnatak University Dharwad and  M.Sc from Shivaji University, Kolhapur. She started her career as a Project trainee in National Institute Of Oceanography (NIO) , Dona Paula, Goa and participated in the validation programme of  IRS-P4 satellite. She has participated and presented research papers in many conferences at State Level, National Level, International level and Regional conferences held in India and abroad. She is also member of various committies and associations of educational organisation bodies.  She is recipient of social service award of Goa Kannada Samaj Rajat Mahotsava in the year 2009. Her knowledge in the area of Educational Research has led her to prepare and present her Research Reference Book on Job Satisfaction of Women Teachers.
