This edition presents a balanced view of mental disorders into twelve chapters in two parts. The chapters covered in the edition reflect eclectic orientation and indicates a variety of psychosocial, physiological and behavioural aspects of mental illness and its cure.

About the Author

Katherine Marsland is an Assistant Professor of Psychology, University of Kentucky. She has specialised herself in socio-emotional development; motivation, early care and education; child care quality; and development of the self-system in early childhood. Presently, she is working on longitudinal study of self-system development before school entry, longitudinal study of state child care licensing requirement for centre-based infant and toddler care, and collaborative study of decision-making, emotional intelligence and motivation along with Jeremy Gray.
