The second edition of the book entitled “Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and World Security” critically examines the role of historic international agreement in the prevention of the spread of nuclear weapons and the promotion of the international peace and security in the early 21st century. The book is the original, comprehensive and most updated because it also covers the study till 2013 NPT review conferences. The final documents of NPT review conference specifically calls on India, Pakistan and Israel to accede to the treaty without further delay and preconditions is properly examined. About the Author
Dr. Surya Narain Yadav is an eminent political scientist specialising on the role of nuclear weapons in international politics, with a particular focus on national security. Nuclear Weapons and their impact on the theories of Balance of Power and Nuclear Deterrence have been his key areas of research investigation. He is an ardent advocate of nuclear non-Pfoliferation and total disarmament. The author visited Portugal (Europe) in 2001, and Uganda (Africa) in 1999 and 2000 for undertaking academic and research assignments. The author was nominated for the Chinese government fellowship, a joint research programme by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (Government of India) and the Government of the People’s Republic of China in the year 2001. Dr. Yadav’s special areas of research include nuclear energy, environmental sustainability and energy security.
