Description
About the Book
The main objective of this edition is to motivate and guide those interested farmers, who want to grow these plants in their already existing agricultural fields as a second harvested crops. In this edition Author has tried to elaborate a vivid description of plants that are hallucinogenic in nature. After a brief introduction chapter, problems and prospects of phyto-medicines have been discussed in second chapter. To know the quality of soil and its chemistry is another important aspect discussed in third chapter. Seed and seed pretreatment is very important area to be understood first before sowing it in the field. Instead of direct sowing into the field, it is sometimes required to grow the seedling in a scientifically prepared nursery. A next chapter is exclusively devoted for detailed information on how to develop an economically suited and scientifically equipped nursery for cultivating the medicinal plants. Cultivation procedure and processing of each and every drug have been described in a separate chapter. Last chapter has been devoted to those drugs which are normally available in market illegally, their local and trade name, their botanical identity, their action on human health and the source of these drugs— all information is available here. I hope this edition will definitely help all types of readers including forensic scientists for identifying the drug’s effect and its consequent result.
