About the Book

The present edition is comprehensive study of Digital Logic Design in a new paradigm for the teaching of the subject. The entire book is redesigned into nine chapters. The topics covered in the book are – the binary codes suitable for representing information in digital systems; the basic and universal gates; the formal procedure for analysis and design of combinational circuits; the outlines of flip-flop like S-R flip-flop, D-flip-flop, J-K Flip Flop, master slave J K flip flop; the various types of registers viz SISO, SIPO, PISO, PIPO; outline of logic families such as DTL, RTL, TTL, MOS, CMOS and I2L; the RAM, ROM, PLD PLA, PAL, RTL, ASM; formal procedures of analysis and design for asynchronous sequential circuits and the brief history of analog and digital computer. It is redesigned for the students, teachers and research scholars of Computer science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, BCA, B.Sc., M.Sc., IETE and AMIE.

About the Authors

Dr. Jayant Shekhar is a teacher of Computer Science and Engineering. Presently, he is working as Director of KLSIET, Bijnor, India. He has 12 years experience of teaching, industry and research. He has published more than 25 research papers in international/ national conferences and journals. He has guided many M.Tech. and Ph.D students of different universities. He is life member of various research societies viz ISTE, CRSI, IACSIT, IAENG etc. His special areas of research is Information Security, Web programming and DBMS.

Khaleel Ahmad is a teacher of Computer Science and Engineering. Presently, he is working as Faculty in College of Computer Science & Information Technology, Saudi Arabia. Formerly, he worked as Assistant Professor in CS & IT department, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, India.  He has 4 years experience of teaching and research. He has published 15 research papers in international/ national conferences and journals. He has guided four M.Tech. students of different universities. He is life member of various research societies viz ISTE, CRSI, IACSIT, IAENG etc. His special areas of research is Information Security, Cryptography, Computer Networking and DBMS.

Nadeem Ahmad has completed master degree in Electronics from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Presently, he is working as Electronic Engineer in a reputed MNC. His research area is Embedded System.
