Description

It gives us immense pleasure to present the December 2015 issue of Global Journal of Business Management. We owe this edition to the hard work of our academicians and researchers. GJBM is an internationally renowned journal. It provides a platform for researchers to publish their high quality research in management and allied disciplines. Research paper submissions to GJBM are screened and peer-reviewed to maintain highest ethical and technical standards.
The present volume touches upon some of the current issues in management, business and related fields. Ten papers covering various functional areas of management have been rigorously selected. The first paper A study of Occupational Stress among Executives of Public Sector and Private Sector by Dr. Sunita Rani and Dr. Rajni reveals a significant difference between executives of public and private sector on dimensions namely, role ambiguity, role conflict, under participation, powerlessness, intrinsic improvishment, low status and unprofitability.
The second paper Organizational Commitment, Creative Behaviour and Life Satisfaction through thelens of Organizational Justice by Dr. Nishat Afroz and Neha Kumari studies the relationship between organizational justice, organizational commitment, creativity and life satisfaction of employees of a public sector organization and to find out the difference between justice perception, organizational commitment, creative behaviour and life satisfaction of managers and supervisor of a public organization. Findings indicated that organizational justice is significantly correlated with organizational commitment, creative behaviour and life satisfaction.
The third paper Impact of Advertising on Working and Non Working Women with Reference to Their Purchasing Behaviour by Dr. Sanjeev Bansal and Dr. Garima Malik indicates that the employment status of women makes a significant difference. The fourth paper Panoply of Emotion, Cognition, and its Effects on Decision Making by Dr Budhi Sagar Mishra shows predictive empathy between administration and emotional intelligence. It also demonstrates noteworthy differences in the male and female administrators. The next articles Management Style in Global Competition: A Tool to Manage Environmental Complexity by Dr. Nisha Rana and Dr. Monika Bansal takes a look at the impact of environmental complexity on management style after liberalization particularly change in decision making and leadership. It examined the efficacy of “PRIDE’ SYSTEM through research where P= Provide for a positive working environment. R= Recognize everyone’s effort I= Involve everyone, D= Develop skills and potential, and, E = Evaluate and measure continuously.
The sixth paper “The Fiscal Deficit Crisis” of India by Dr. P.V. Khatri and Ms. Deepika studies the fiscal deficit crisis of India. The seventh paper Extrinsic and Intrinsic Factors of Motivation: A Comparison of Private and Public Technical Institutions by Gurleen Kaur Parmar conducts research on the faculty of private and public technical (engineering) institutions with the objective to find factors of motivation affecting them and to conduct a comparison between the two.
The next paper is Effect of Locus of Control, Extraversion, Neuroticism and Emotional Intelligence on Burnout of Navodaya School Teachers Teaching in the National Captial Region by Dr. Poonam. The ninth article Goods and Services Tax: Much Needed Reform by Dr. Nisha Rana and Dr. Aanchal Gupta focuses on understanding the need for the newer tax regime- Goods and Services Tax (GST) for developing country like India. This paper also attempts to provide a broad contour of the proposed GST regime and highlights major challenges in implementation part. The tenth paper A Comparative Study of Level of Aggression and Family Environment Between Day Worker and Night Worker by Shreya Chaudhary and Dr. S.K. Srivastava compares level of aggression and family environment between day worker and night worker. Theanalysis of data of aggression level revealed that there is significant difference between day worker and night worker. The statistical analysis revealed that all the eight family environment factors, viz. cohesion, Expressiveness, conflict, acceptance and caring, independence, active-recreational orientation, organization and control together showed significant difference between day worker and night worker.
All the papers report a plethora of findings that should be of interest to researchers. We are grateful to all authors and reviewers for their valuable inputs. We hope that our readers shall benefit from the knowledge so generated. We look forward to the continuous support of our authors and patrons, and invite recommendations and discussions for further issues.
