About the Book
The thousand years from the 5th to the 15th century might well be regarded as a distinct respectable period of European history, which would stand out clearly in the providential pattern. After the dissolution of the Roman Empire, the idea arose of Europe as one large church-state, called Christendom which consists of two distinct groups of functionaries: ecclesiastical hierarchy, and the secular leaders. The present book is classified into six chapters dealing with the socio-political history of the Roman Empire; religious crisis in Roman Empire after emergence of Christianity, crisis, and decline of Roman Empire, rise and fall of feudalism in Medieval Europe, and religious and cultural history of Medieval Europe. The author has taken help from various sources and compiled it with proper explanation in a very lucrative way.
