About the Book
Main objective of this study is to examine historical development of modern political thinking and it empirical implication in modern political system since the beginning of the British rule in India. Most of the terms used in political thinking are historical rather than conceptual, although some definitely pertain to the western thinking. This book has been classified into six chapters: introductory outline; conceptual development of Indian political system; political philosophy of Indian democracy; ideological foundation of Indian political parties; educational foundation of Indian democracy and culture; and emotional integration in society and administration.
About the Authors
Anjana Banerjee, born in Calcutta and educated in Patna, is a dynamic scholar and teacher of Sociology. She did her M.A (Sociology) and Ph.D. from Patna University, Patna. As a keen researcher, she has written number of research papers which have been published in reputed journals and news papers. She also takes active role in academic and cultural activities. Presently, she is teaching in a public school in Patna.
B.K. Verma, is a dynamic scholar in Political Science. Born in Gaya, he got his education in the Magadh University and received his M.A. degree in Political Science. He is doing research on “Student Movement in Bihar (1967–1977)”. His contribution to a number of important research papers on Indian politics in the journals of national reputes, is praise-worthy.
