About the Book
The main thrust of this edition is to specify the linkages between different domains of health and behaviour which stimulates the students of psychology and physiology to undertake researches in this new area. The glimpses into theory and research put forth into the contributions reveal the extensity of the domain and depth within the scope of psychophysiology of wellbeing. The convergence of ‘wellbeing’ along several related disciplines and its seeming applied importance in human welfare offer the researchers an avenue to further explore. About the Editors
Dr. Rajbir Singh, a former Professor of Psychology and Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, M.D. University, Rohtak. He is the Co-ordinator of D.R.S. Phase-I under U.G.C. Special Assistance Program (SAP). Earlier he has also served the Department of Psychology, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He has a long teaching and research career spanning over three decades. He has been actively associated with expansion of psychology in Haryana and was the founder President of Haryana Psychological Association (H.P.A.). His main area of research is Psychobiology and Health Psychology and a large number of students have completed their doctoral work under his able guidance. With a firm belief in hard work and team spirit, Prof. Singh is a man of broad vision and futuristic orientation. He has authored several reports and contributed large number of research articles to various books, and journals of national and international repute. He has done Major research project financed by U.G.C. Psychology of Individual Differences, and Health Psychology are the books he has published.
Dr. RadheyShyam, presently Professor in the Department of psychology, M.D. University, Rohtak, has over two decades of teaching and research experience. He is working in the area of Health and well being. He has completed major and minor research projects financed by U.G.C. and other bodies. Many students have completed their M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses with him. He has published more than three dozen research papers in books and journals of national and international repute.
