This book written is largely an abridged English version of Krantiveer Babarao Savarkar written by D.N. Gokhale. Some part has been taken from Krantikallol (The high tide of revolution), a Marathi biography of Veer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar’s revolutionary life by VS Joshi. Details of the Cellular jail have been taken from Memorable Documentary on evolutionary freedom fighter Veer Savarkar by Prem Vaidya and also from the website www.andamancellularjail.org. Hope this book will inspire historian to rewrite history Indian national movement to give proper place and respect in history.
Sunita Deshpande is a well-known name in the field of Marathi Literature. She has achieved her M.A. (English) and Ph.D. from Amrawati University.
