Description

Editorial
It gives us immense pleasure to present 19th Volume of June 2025 issue of Global Journal of Business Management. We owe this edition to the hard work of our academicians and researchers. Research paper submissions to GJBM are screened and peer-reviewed to maintain highest ethical and technical standards. The present volume touches upon some of the current issues in business management and its related fields. Five papers have been covered on various functional areas of management and its allied subjects rigorously selected to publish in this issue.
The first paper of Bharti Sharma and Dr Amirul Ansari examines an impact of workforce agility on employee burnout in the organizational context by carrying out a survey on 220 participants of Indian IT professionals. The study has done a descriptive, correlation and regression analysis of the data and its findings revealed that Indian IT professionals have better adaptability, better proactivity and more resilient to work. This study intends to support leaders and executives in promoting agility in their businesses and increasing awareness of the importance of adapting this framework for better results.
In the second paper, Dr. Anirudh Pandit explores the diverse strategies employed by pharmaceutical companies in India, particularly focusing on the field practices of Medical Representatives and Clinical Business Associates. It highlights significant ethical concerns, including excessive gifting, off-label promotions and misleading claims. Its findings reveal that marketing efforts are primarily targeted at doctors, retailers, stockiest, and consumers through digital platforms. It concludes with recommendations for more ethical, sustainable, and digitally-driven marketing practices aimed at improving transparency, building brand trust, and fostering long-term stakeholder relationships.
The third paper of Dr. Santosh Ranganath discusses the need of innovative teaching strategies in management education to more effectively engage students in the classroom. The purpose of this paper is to provide management educators with an overview of innovative strategies that can be utilized to enhance management education for the management workforce that leads to the development of good management practices.
In the fourth paper, Dr. Pallavi explores role of Emotional Intelligence in personal and professional success in Indian corporate sector. From creating self-awareness, improving communication skills, and growing more mindful of accountability to forming long-lasting relationships based on trust, emotional intelligence offers several benefits that help in cultivating superior leaders. Emotional intelligence plays a key role in effective communication as well as relationship management. Furthermore, they can skilfully navigate conflicts, forming and maintaining positive relationships in both personal and also professional domains.
The fifth paper of Sahadat Hossain & Fariha Saleh discusses leadership as learned values, attitudes and behaviour. The paper reveals a set of leadership characteristics which bring performance excellence instead of simple performance. Such characteristics appear to be quite similar to the nature of transformational form of leadership. To pursue sustainable achievement, organizations must focus on the re-engineering and management process. Leadership traits uphold principles and provide guiding values to foster such processes.
The journal provides a platform for empirical research, comprehensive critical reviews, and intervention-oriented articles in the field of business management, as well as for application in a wide range of contexts. The editors extend their gratitude to all authors for their contributions, as well as to the referees and editorial board members for their valuable feedback and suggestions. We hope that our readers will be benefited from the knowledge so generated. We look forward to the continuous support of our contributors and reviewers, and invite papers, recommendations and discussions for further issues.
