Editorial
The present 19th Volume of December 2025 issue of the Global Journal of Business Management brings together diverse yet interconnected research contributions that address contemporary challenges in human resource practices, organizational behaviour, communication, and leadership skills. These articles collectively highlight the growing importance of ethical recruitment, employee development, consumer psychology, gender perspectives, communication competence, and negotiation skills in shaping modern business environments.
The first article by Sahai, Chao, and Lalkhawngaihi investigated the impact of consumer behavior on organizations with an integrative approach to profitability. The study found significant relationship between vigilant decision-making tendencies and perceived social media marketing activities, which was mediated by consumer wisdom. Further results showed that HR managers of organizations with favourable outcomes either invest into development of their employees by training, empowerment, etc., or maintain discretion while selecting employees for customer-interactions to ensure subliminal perceptions of the organization, its values, and its services/products is positive.
The second article by Devi and Chao on gender differences and work engagement- related attitudes and other psychological correlates of Indian IT employees found out through independent t-test that there are gender differences on measures of absorption dimension of work engagement, self-efficacy subscale of PsyCap, and powerful other subscale of locus of control.
The third article by Reddy studied the importance of corporate stimulation as a tool to be used as part of teaching-learning process for imparting a practical dimension in enhancing business communication skills for management students. Through role-plays and academic theatre, students develop oral, written, non-verbal, and interpersonal skills along with business etiquette and organizational behaviour. The method also promotes cross-cultural understanding and provides cost-effective experiential learning.
The fortharticle by Tyagi emphasized the growing importance of effective communication skills in both professional and personal life. It highlights the role of corporate training in enhancing clarity, purpose, credibility, and two-way interaction in communication. Key parameters such as understanding the receiver, using appropriate language, and maintaining simplicity are essential for overcoming communication barriers. Ultimately, strong communication skills contribute significantly to workplace success and healthier personal relationships.
The fifth article by Lal and Mohan on art of negotiation skill in workplace observed the necessity of negotiations at the work-place and accesses the role played by the Industrialists and Business Leaders to cultivate good negotiating skills in the organization. They have described the four Stages of Negotiation, i.e., other Party’s Objectives, Information Gathering, Action Plan, and the Final act.Thus, mastering the art of negotiation is essential for achieving success, fostering harmonious relationships, and ensuring sustainable growth in both business and society.
The sixth article by Mayilswamy and Guru Roshan studied E-recruitment as a vital role in selecting the right candidate efficiently and ethically. It analysed the response and effectiveness of an HR consultancy by evaluating recruitment practices such as candidate support, timely follow-ups, transparency, and profile updates. It emphasizes recruiter loyalty, proper communication, and long-term relationship building to ensure successful placements. The findings indicate that most respondents hold a positive perception of the company’s recruitment process.
By integrating theory with practical insights, this issue highlighted the meaningfully to the evolving discourse in business management and professional excellence.
