About the Book

The present book is compiled into four chapters which deal with educational assessment, psychological testing, and student consultation in elementary and secondary schools. This area is practiced by a school psychologist who often collaborates with educators, families, school leaders, community members, and other professionals to create safe and supportive school environments. School psychologists are prepared to intervene at the individual and system levels, and develop, implement and evaluate programs to promote positive learning environments for children and youth from diverse backgrounds, and to ensure equal access to effective educational and psychological services that promote health development. The objectives of this book are to meet the learning and behavioral health needs of children and adolescents. Hope, this book will be helpful for teachers, professional and school management to provide better learning environment for children and adolescents.

About the Author

Julie Ivey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology, University of Nairobi and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. She supervises School Psychology graduate students in public schools who work directly with children and students in the community. She has many publications in her area of interest and also state and national presentations in the area of developmental disabilities.
