About the Authors

The significant contributions of prominent women in several walks of life have awakened the dormant interest in theories and concepts relating to women behaviour. Thereby researchers have started to spotlight the women issues from different angles. Present edition is a concentrated effort in this direction. First section, consisting of six articles traces identity and worth of women. Second section includes five articles relating to development and behaviours. Third section has also five articles where stress and its copying along with effects have been highlighted. There are five chapters in section four too. This section deals with the results of double burden on women’s behaviour. Last section of this edition presents major socio-political behaviour patterns of women. Editors are of the view that inputs given in this edition will not only generate genuine understanding of women behaviour among readers but will also help in creating harmony and congeniality in the society by checking ills against women.

About the Authors

Amrita Yadava is presently working as Professor of Psychology, M.D. University, Rohtak. She is actively involved in teaching, research and extension work since more than 25 years. Her research area is Health including gender studies. More than fifty research articles have been published by her in reputed Journals and Books. She has also edited four books on different applied areas of Psychology. Professor Yadava is a person of strong conviction that women can achieve their due share only by excelling in different areas.

Sushma Sharma is working as lecturer of Psychology and Incharge Women’s Cell at Sat Jinda Kalayana College, Kalanaur, Rohtak. She has a teaching and research experience of about 20 years. She has published many research papers in different journals of repute and well known books. She specializes in Data Processing, Research Methods and Experimental Social Psychology. Above all she is a very revered and enlightened teacher with lot many personal qualities.

Nov Rattan Sharma is presently working as Professor of Psychology at M.D. University, Rohtak. He is a committed teacher and versatile researcher with an experience of more than 24 years. Professor Sharma has contributed around 60 research articles to various Journals and Books. He has also supervised a large number of M. Phil. and Doctoral Dissertations in addition to the extensive community level programmes on health assessment and awareness.
